I TRAIN FOR _______
I train hard to achieve my outdoor goals and enjoy every single minute of it. My sport is very demanding so Mountain Athletics helps me to improve my technique, strength, endurance and speed. I need to strengthen my tendons and muscles to avoid injuries from my runs and expeditions. In particular I train my ankles and quadriceps to keep them strong and stable as I need to accumulate lots of miles on my legs.
“AS A TRAIL RUNNER I CONCENTRATE ON BOTH STABILITY AND PLYOMETRIC TRAINING AS WELL AS WEIGHTED SPRINT CIRCUITS. I MAKE SURE TO INCORPORATE BOX JUMPS, PUSH-UPS AND CORE EXERCISES INTO ALL MY WORKOUTS.”
I followed the Mountain Athletics program to prepare for my most recent goal: to attempt the fastest female ascent of Aconcagua, the highest summit of the Americas.
